CPR/AED Awareness week is June 5-June 11, in which the Hampton Roads Chapter annually holds events to celebrate learning life-saving skills. On June 7, Pearson Toyota Scion will host a Hands-Only Citizen CPR course at 6:30pm. This course format was released at the beginning of the year, and it launched an initiative to train 5 million Americans in the highly talked-about compression-only CPR technique (no “mouth-to-mouth”). The American Red Cross encourages at least one family member of each household to be trained in life-saving skills, and this course, being offered at a $5 discount for pre-registrations (walk-ins accepted at full registration price of $15), offers the perfect opportunity to receive the practical skills necessary, delivered in a casual non-certification environment, to respond when faced with an unfortunate cardiac emergency. Click here to receive more infomation and to register for our course.
