What is an in-kind donation?
An in-kind donation is a donated commodity or service as opposed to cash or other montary forms such as stocks, bonds, etc. In-kind donations generally fall into one of four categories: donated goods, loaned items, donated services from and individual or donated services from a company.

Examples: Donated Goods -- food, cleaning supplies, toys. Loaned Items -- warehouse equipment, copy machines, facilities Services from Individuals -- nurse, lawyer, accountant Services from Companies -- printing, shipping, graphic design |

'Wish List'
The Hampton Roads Chapter also maintains a 'Wish List' of supplies that would strongly benefit our efforts. Our current 'Wish List' includes:
Office Supplies: Copier/Printer Paper Color Laser Printers Legal Pads, Pens, Computer Accessories, Post-its, Donation of Red Cross printed letterhead and envelopes, tall bookcases, office desks, file cabinets, bulletin boards, large easels
Disaster Supplies: Storage Unit/Disaster Supply Trailer Two way radios Orange parking cones Vehicle maintenance
Training Supplies: TV/DVD Combo (portable and stationary) Overhead projector
Miscellaneous Supplies: Table Skirt with Red Cross logo (for outdoor events and fairs) Video Camera with tripod External CD burners for backing up files Off-Site server location to regularly send our back up computer files
